Hello race fans,
I'm sorry to announce that there will be no recap of the Homestead weekend. Between classes, my school newspaper and covering local high school sports, I have had very little free time on my hands to get the full recap done to the best of my ability. However, that's not to say I had some takeaways from the weekend.
Xfinity series is still the best series by a mile.
Gragson-Starr was just a racing deal; and I have no issue with how Noah handled his post-race interview.
Myatt Snider becoming the fourth first-time winner in the first seven races is very cool.
Old track plus day-night shift leads to fantastic racing.
It was awesome to see the no. 17 out front again.
The William Byron and Rudy Fugle combo is going to be dangerous.
Kurt Busch going from a lap down to eighth on the final run is incredible.
Tyler Reddick making up nine seconds in the last 20 laps while passing cars is even more incredible, a much needed boost on that team.
Matt DiBenedetto couldn't be off to a worse start; but he goes to a track he finished second at both races last year... although strategy played a part in both of those races.
Once again, I'm sorry for not having the recap out. I will have a preview of Vegas out soon. I am also looking at some fun topics to talk about. If you have any questions or opinions, leave a comment or tweet me @HBLoomis. Let's talk racing!
